I am thrilled to announce the first location of the Heartland Intimacy Design & Training Workshops: Orlando!
Orlando holds a very special place in my heart as I began my intimacy work as a graduate student at University of Central Florida. I am thrilled to be able to give back to my Orlando community a second time after serving as the first Intimacy Designer for Orlando Shakespeare Theater. It seemed only fitting to return to the place where I began to stage intimacy for the first Heartland Workshop.
So, what does the workshop entail?
In this one-day, 8-hour workshop, participants will be guided through the theoretical and scientific underpinnings of theatrical intimacy work, given concrete tools to establish boundaries, learn a language of staging intimacy, and have the opportunity to put what they learn into practice through scene work and troubleshooting. Participants will also be given the tools to create paperwork associated with intimacy protocols. Finally, there will be time for Q & A at the end of the workshop.
